Since the sad passing of actor Peter Fonda of the Easy Rider Movie fame. We have noticed more interest in the old school raked out chopper style like this one we have just built.
All our big twin frames have the centre post shaped to clear the gearbox and follows the same angle as the rear cylinder for a more symetrical appearance. As they are custom frames we stretch them so you can run a cylindrical oil tank with the battery put behind the gearbox or like this one it has the Evo FXST 1340 Softail oil tank fitted which houses the battery inside under the seat.
You can fit any aftermarket Big Twin engine designed to fit Harley FXST Style Softail frames upto 1999. Sorry NO TWINKY'S! We do not make frames to take the Twincam B engine and gearbox assembly as fitted to 2000 up FXST softails. Twincam A motors fit if using a special adaptor plate so they fit the early Evo motor mounts. All Roadking and Dyna rubber mount gearboxes will not fit either.
These frames accept Shovelhead 4 speed gearbox mounting plates as well as Evo FXST Softail 1340 5 Speed gearbox mounting plates. Any aftermarket gearbox designed to fit the upto 1999 Stock harley Softail frames can be used as well.
Front forks designed to fit any Harley or aftermarket frame that have 1" tapered steering neck bearings can be used.
